Swamp Stories features two good ole Cajun boys, "Bayou" and "Patio Daddio", on a comical fishing trip through a South Louisiana bayou. Along the way they tell stories and sing traditional Cajun songs such as "Jambalaya" and "You Are My Sunshine", as well as original tunes, like "I Love My Maw Maw". They also enlist children from the audience to participate as band members and to act out the Cajun folk tales. The program concludes with a spirited Mardi Gras parade and beads for the children.

Well-known harmonica player and music educator, Shannon "Bayou" Williford, and his guitar-strumming pal Scott "Patio Daddio" Achord provide lots of laughs and learning through slapstick, genuine dialect and cultural history. Background material on Cajun history and culture is provided to the teacher for use either before, or as a follow-up to the program.

For grades K-4.
