Get involved with the festival and really have some fun!
Help us make this a really great event. We need lots of volunteers to help set up, help with the children's craft activities, and clean up afterwards. The craft activity tents and sponsor booths are near the stage so don't worry ---- you won't miss any of the music!
When you arrive to volunteer, please check in with our Volunteer Coordinator in the Volunteers & Musicians Room in the community center. She'll help you pick an area to work in. There will be free drinks and snacks available for volunteers in the Volunteers & Musicians Room.
Set up: 10:00 am to noon
Blow up helium balloons.
Put out tables and chairs in booths/tents
Put out tablecloths in sponsor booths and craft activity tents
Set out kids' activity supplies
Put up signs on tents and around the community center
Set up Volunteers & Musicians Room (snacks, etc.)
Help set up for Latino Visual Artists reception (starts at noon inside the
community center)
During the day: 12:30 to 6:00
Help with craft activities in the tents (6 areas)
-----Make a paper cowboy hat
-----Make a rhythm instrument
-----Paint a wooden snake
-----Make a balsa wood glider
-----Make a Mexican tin box
-----Make a beaded lizard keychain
General help -- who knows what we'll need, but we'll need several people
throughout the day for miscellaneous things.
Clean up: 6:30 to 8:00 pm
Pack up craft activity supplies and tools
Take down signs
Pick up tablecloths, etc.
General trash pick up
Gather tables and chairs from booths and tents
Clean up Volunteers & Musicians Room
